The former Court House, now operated by the Donald History Group, is home to many relics of former Donald businesses. It has a special area devoted to Donald’s much cherished Chinese market gardener, known to the town as Georgie Ah Ling. The Museum regularly puts on special displays and has been appointed as an official Aboriginal Keeping Place.
In 2009 the museum also became a 'Keeping Place' for Indigenous Cultural Heritage Artefacts where representatives of the Barengi Gadjin Land Council and the Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation worked in collaboration with the Donald History and Natural History Group to share responsibility for the custodianship of Aboriginal cultural heritage in the district.
The Archives is one of the best collections in Victoria of local written records, including indexed and bound copies of the Donald Express and the Donald Times newspapers. The Archives also house a very impressive photographic record of the town and its people.
