On the 5th of July 2019, the local silos in the middle of town became the new centrepiece when artist Sam Bates, aka Smug, took to a cherry picker and commenced painting. Just 14 days later, they were complete.
Set within its unique rural landscape, visit and gain a greater appreciation for the true quality of the art work. Take time to view and reflect on the photo-like realism of the working dog and his master from various angles, distances and perspectives. Chat with other Silo Art Trail tourists, meet some locals and maybe even get to pat Jimmy the sheepdog!
A mini replica of the silos, an artwork in itself by Valweld, has been placed in front of the silos as a donation box with donated money going to future Nullawil community projects.
